Joplin Jailbirds Sign recent Joplin High School Graduate

Brecken Green  has signed to play in Joplin this summer

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds sign Pitt State incoming freshman, Brecken Green. Green is a Joplin native, growing up playing baseball in the metro area. 

Green has completed his high school baseball career but continues to sharpen his skills going into his college career with Pittsburg State. Green was on the 2025 Joplin Baseball District Champion team, and stacked a 1.55 ERA. 

“(Green) had an outstanding year at Joplin high school. We are very excited to have Joplin's very own fireballer!” expressed Jailbirds GM, Donovan Harns.

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
